**OPENING TIMES**

Please note our Surgery opening times have
changed as from 1st December 2008:

Mondays and Thursday we are open from 8:30am until 7:30pm.
Wednesdays we are open from 8:30am until 6:30pm.
Tuesdays and Fridays we are open at 7:30am closing at 6:30pm.
We will also be open on two Saturdays during the month from 9:00am until 11:00am. 

**HEALTH VISITORS DROP-IN CLINIC**
Please note that from 01.07.2009 there will no longer be a drop-in clinic. You should instead book an appointment between 9:40am and 11:30am.

Out of Hours  
During the overnight and weekend hours, if you require medical attention, you should ring the Out-of-Hours telephone number (08454 220220).

Home Visits
Telephone: Cheltenham 580511 (press 3).  Patients whose illness prevents them from coming to the Surgery, can be visited in their own homes. However, on average, seeing you at home takes four times as long as seeing you in the Surgery, so please come along if you can.

Order prescriptions online and book appointments via our Emis Access system.  You must register in the practice for this service.

Clinics

Antenatal

pregnant10We have a Community Midwife, who attends the Surgery weekly and runs the Antenatal Clinic. This clinic is on Wednesdays between 12.30pm-3:45pm.

Appointments for the Antenatal Clinic need to be prebooked with the Receptionist.

Baby

Our Health Visitors run a Baby Clinic on Wednesday mornings between 9.30am and 11.30am. Please telephone the Surgery to book an appointment.

Childhood Vaccination Clinics

The Practice Nurses run the Child Vaccination Clinics and these are held on Wednesdays between 9.30am-11.10am and on Thursday afternoons between 12 noon and 1.20pm. Appointments for the Vaccination Clinic will be sent out when baby and pre-school booster vaccinations are due.

Contraception

The surgery offers contraceptive coil and implanon fittings. Please make an appointment with the doctor should you wish to discuss these.
Appointments for these procedures need to be made at the surgery and not over the internet.

Cryotherapy

Dr Morgan runs the Cryotherapy Clinic, (freezing of warts, etc. using liquid nitrogen). The clinic is held every other week, on Monday afternoons. The clinic is by appointment and you will need a referral from your GP.

Medical Review Clinics

The Medical Review Clinics are organised by our Nurse Practitioner Tracey Moore and are on an appointment basis only. These clinics help patients to manage their chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and stroke.

Minor Surgery

Minor surgery is available at the Practice for procedures such as excisions, incisions, aspiration and cutting and these are performed by Doctors Nelson, Wilson, Copps and Morgan. Joint injections are performed by Doctors Nelson, Moliver and Morgan.

Family Planning

A full and confidential family planning service is available at the Surgery for women of all ages.  

If you require emergency contraception, please ask to see the Doctor urgently.

Acupuncture

Dr Sarah Moliver offers a few Acupuncture appointments each week. The number of Acupuncture appointments is limited. Attendance for one of these specialised appointments is therefore strictly by referral from Dr Moliver or one of the other GPs.

If you would like to find out more about these Acupuncture appointments, please make an appointment to see Dr Moliver (during one of Dr Moliver's routine surgeries).

Flu

injection1The Flu Clinics run during October and November every year. Influenza vaccinations are available to anyone who thinks they may be at risk.

The At Risk categories are:-

  • Over 65 years of age
  • Diabetics
  • Asthmatics on steroids or have been hosipitalised with this condition
  • Anyone suffering from heart problems/disease
  • Immuno-suppressed patients
  • Any other chronic medical problem
  • Patients living in residential/nursing homes
  • Pregnant women
  • Patients who are carers

For those unable to travel to the surgery, the Doctor, District Nurse or our Nurse for the Care of the Elderly may be able to offer you the vaccination in your own home.

Phlebotomy

The Phlebotomist (from Cheltenham General Hospital) runs a daily clinic at the Surgery.

The times of the Phlebotomy clinics are as follows:-

  • Monday 1.40 - 2.25pm
  • Tuesday 1.40 - 2.25pm
  • Wednesday 1.40 - 2.25pm
  • Thursday 12 noon - 1.25pm
  • Friday 1.40 -2.25pm

If you would like help with giving up smoking, please ask  for an appointment with one of our Practice Nurses or Health Care Assistant.
